Partners & Initiatives

At Tiger of Sweden, we believe striving towards sustainability includes exploring new production and resource opportunities, as well as partnerships – on both a local and global scale.

We continuously strive for the opportunity to incorporate local sourcing and production into our collections. By doing so, we can find alternatives that are kinder to the planet while ensuring transparency from fibre to the final product.

Local Initiatives

Swedish Wool

An underused resource, Swedish Wool guarantees that animal welfare and European wool production are in accordance with Swedish law.

To maximise Swedish Wool’s properties, our team work closely with Swedish Wash House Ullkontoret and Italian Intespra Mill to increase performance and quality. Undyed wool is used in select garments to highlight the natural purity of the material and reduce the use of chemicals, water, and energy during the production phase.

We were also members of the successful Swedish Wool Initiative, a cross-sectoral collaboration that aimed to contribute to the vision of zero-waste Swedish Wool. Paving the way for a sustainable and circular way to use this material, we are participating in the continuation project - Swedish Wool Initiative Dalarna. We will continue to look for innovative ways of working with this raw material in the future.

Klässbols Linneväveri

Through an exclusive collaboration with Swedish heritage brand Klässbols Linneväveri, we created high-quality, long-lasting linen garments seen in our 2022 Spring Summer Collection. Dating back to the 1920s, the mill is best known as the supplier for the Swedish Royal Court and of tablecloths for Nobel Prize Banquets.

The sustainable advantage of flax fibre for linen is that cultivation requires few pesticides and fertilisers, as well as little irrigation. All Tiger of Sweden Klässbols’ styles were of mono-material construction, which facilitates post-consumer recycling and longer material life cycles.
