Wedding Suits
The choice of suit for your wedding depends on the season, venue and formality, but it should also reflect your personal taste. At Tiger of Sweden, we design suits that combine modern tailoring with timeless style, offering a range of colours, cuts, and details to suit every kind of celebration.
The lapel of your suit jacket is a key element in defining formality. A notch lapel is classic and versatile, while a peak lapel, with its upward point, adds a sharp, stylish edge, perfect for semi-formal settings. For formal weddings, a peak or shawl lapel is most appropriate.
Complete your look with classic cufflinks, a silk tie or bowtie, easy finishing accessories that will last a lifetime.
Suit Colour and Style
The colour of your suit sets the tone for your wedding’s overall aesthetic. Traditional hues like grey, navy, and black are timeless and flattering. There are no limits to colour, a colourful suit is also a great way to express your personal style and add a modern touch to the reception. We recommend matte fabrics that absorb light, which tend to photograph best.
When trying on your suit, make sure the jacket sits well on your shoulders and that about half an inch of your shirt cuff is visible. The trousers should fit comfortably around the hips without pulling and should lightly touch the top of your shoes.
Choose a slim fit for a sharp, modern silhouette; a semi-slim fit for a more classic shape with ease of movement; or a regular fit for added comfort and flexibility.
Wedding Outfits for Every Season
There are two important factors to consider when choosing a suit for a specific season: colours and fabrics. The colour of your suit should represent the current season, and the fabric should keep you warm or leave enough room for airflow and ease of movement.
Wedding Outfits for the Summer
In summer, you should choose a lightweight fabric that maximises breathability. Linen is an excellent option for a summer wedding, leaving room for a more relaxed fit. Light colours such as light blue, light green, beige or white are preferred during summer. If you prefer a classic option, we recommend a lightweight wool blend.
Autumn Wedding Suits
In Autumn, a wedding suit should be made from medium-weight fabrics and deep, seasonal tones. We recommend a wool blend that keeps you warm but offers ease of movement. You may consider replacing the classic white shirt with a matching turtleneck if the formality of the wedding allows it. Earthy tones such as brown, beige or caramel add a colourful accent to an autumn wedding.
Winter Wedding Suits
Winter is the time for thick fabrics, layers, textured details and deeper colours. A winter suit should be made of thick fabric that keeps you warm without sacrificing a flattering silhouette. Fabrics made from wool and cashmere blends are a luxurious way to add extra warmth to your suit. Cooler, dark colours such as navy, taupe or grey set the tone for a winter wedding.
Spring Wedding Suits
The weather can be unpredictable in spring. Choose light fabrics and pair your suit with a lightweight jacket. Similar to summer suits, we recommend light or classic muted colourways. Linen, cotton and silk blend suits are breathable and lightweight without compromising an elevated look.
Occasion Dresses
For special occasions such as weddings, cocktail dresses are a natural choice, balancing elegance with modern sophistication. Traditionally falling at knee or midi length, they can also take the form of shorter summer styles or longer silhouettes, depending on your personal expression and the tone of the celebration.
At Tiger of Sweden, our curated selection of eveningwear is designed to help you make a confident, considered impression while honouring the formality of the occasion. For a more statement look, a full-length dress with a draped funnel neckline in a seasonal colourway offers a sense of understated elegance and refinement. An ankle-length satin dress creates a fluid, polished silhouette, ideal for wedding celebrations, while a silk A-line dress remains a timeless option, effortlessly flattering and quietly luxurious.
Each piece is thoughtfully designed to stand out with subtlety, aligning seamlessly with the spirit of wedding attire.
