Crafted from premium leather, each item may feature subtle variations in texture and markings. These are natural characteristics, highlighting the material’s origin and individuality. All our leather is sourced from Leather Working Group–certified tanneries, ensuring responsible production.

Timeless design, meticulous craftsmanship, and enduring quality define every Tiger of Sweden leather product. Follow this guide to maintain the appearance, feel, and longevity of your leather bags, wallets, small accessories, and clothing.

Cleaning & Surface Care

Gently wipe leather items with a soft, slightly damp cloth to remove dust and surface dirt.

For grease or oil stains, avoid water. Instead, dab carefully with a dry cloth to lift the stain.

For deeper cleaning, use a product specifically formulated for smooth leather. Avoid harsh chemicals or household detergents, which may damage the surface.

Always test any cleaning product on a discreet area before treating the entire item.

(Not suitable for suede, nubuck, or bycast leather.)

Leather Nourishment

Leather is a natural material, enriched with its own oils, released through regular use to maintain softness and flexibility. If your accessory or garment feels dry or stiff, apply a high-quality leather conditioner to restore suppleness and prevent cracking.

Apply sparingly and evenly, testing first on a discreet area. Regular nourishment supports durability and preserves the leather’s natural texture and appearance over time.

Storage & Shape Maintenance

Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or heat, which can cause fading and drying.

When not in use, store leather items in a dust bag or breathable fabric in a cool, dry environment.

To maintain the shape of bags, fill them lightly with parchment paper or bubble wrap. Smaller accessories, such as wallets or pouches, should be stored flat and free from pressure or heavy objects. Leather clothing should be hung on wide, padded hangers to preserve its form.

Moisture Protection

Leather is resilient but not naturally waterproof. Excessive moisture can lead to stiffness, loss of shape, or mould.

If an item becomes wet:

  • Gently blot away excess moisture with a soft, absorbent cloth.
  • Allow it to air-dry naturally; avoid direct heat such as radiators or hair dryers.
  • For heavily soaked bags, lightly stuff them with paper or towels to help retain their shape while drying.

Once completely dry, apply a leather conditioner to restore natural oils and maintain flexibility. Always test first on a discreet area.

By following these care steps, your Tiger of Sweden leather items, whether accessories or clothing, will age gracefully, retaining their elegance, character, and lasting quality for years to come.
